Last night we played an acoustic set at Angels & Kings. Thanks to Keith at No One You Know Productions for hooking us up with a spot on their CMJ week festivities. We always love being able to just relax and jam acoustically. I’m pretty sure we have some decent audio from the set so I’ll hopefully get that up here soon. We’ve got some more shows in the works and I’ll get those up as soon as all the details are confirmed. Other than that, we’ve been working on an EP and we are so damn excited about getting that out to you all. Only a few more things here and there to track and then we’ll have all the details on when it’ll be available, etc. Get excited! Yay and stuff.

I just came on to post about last night’s show and realized that there was no post about the show before it. Not sure why it never posted or why it’s not saved here but oh well. So we played at the wonderful Arlene’s Grocery, a very cool little venue and considering we had a 1 am set, it was pretty damn awesome. We had an amazing time playing and the crowd response made us feel as if we were surrounded by friends. Can’t wait to get back there!

Thank you to everyone who came out for our set last night at Crossroads. We’ve spent a good amount of the past month demoing for an EP which we began tracking for last weekend and it was great to hear the positive response to the songs live. Even though we’ve played them at some previous shows, this was the first time we weren’t still working out any of the kinks. We played with a cool band called Ravens Ballroom so check them out too. Aside from that, we rescheduled our Arlene’s Grocery show that was cancelled due to the hurricane for next Saturday, October 8th. We can’t wait to finally play a full electric show in New York City. Hope to see you there!

Last night we played an acoustic show in the city and it was a whole lot of fun. We definitely have to book some more of those. The laid back atmosphere was very cool and It felt as if we were just hanging out at home jamming new ideas. Throughout the set I kept getting lost in the feeling of how much I enjoy playing in this band. Seriously, making music with this group of people is truly inspiring and I hope we can do it forever.

Yesterday’s show was pretty random. A few weeks ago, I stopped in a little cafe that specialized in all things organic. It was an accidental find and a nice change for a quick, yet healthy lunch. As the check was being paid, my friend and I got into a conversation with the owner and he happened to be looking for a few more bands to add to the stage at the local farmers market festival which he helps organize each year. So yesterday we played amongst the fresh fruits and veggies during a beautiful sunny afternoon. Thanks to Paul from Organigaya Cafe (organigaya.com) for having us. If you’re ever in the North Plainfield area, definitely stop in for a meal. Big weekend in NYC coming up. Come hang out!

We’d like to thank our good friends in The Embracers (theembracers.com) for having us join them on night #2 of their four show residency at The Lamp Post in Jersey City. It was great to hang with some old friends at a very cool little spot that appreciates live music and good drinks. If you’re ever in the area, definitely stop in and check it out. The night went well and ended a little crazy after this woman had a few too many drinks and decided it would be totally cool to pee on the floor in front of everyone. She then went outside and attempted to steal our gear. Then she threw a can of beer at Joe C.’s face and brawled with his girlfriend. In the midst of shoes, purses and hair extensions flying everywhere, I leaned back, laughed and took it all in as Steve and a few guys from the bar decided to pick up the woman and carry her a block away so we could leave. I am so glad we’re playing again. Rock and roll.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the show last night! We had a blast and it was great to play with Chocolate Bread, Strawberry Jam and West the Defender. Definitely check all of them out! We will be posting more shows and some other news very soon. Even though we’ve only posted two songs, we’re going to be putting up setlists after each show. I’ve always enjoyed when bands do that and I’ve always kind of wished I kept better track of that stuff from any past shows just to have as a record of sorts. Now that we are planning on rocking out regularly again, I figured now is as good a time as ever to keep up with that. So yeah, thanks again and hope to see you all soon!
